The Food Garden Rotterdam promotes a healthy city. They are in favor of a sustainable urban society, with healthy food for everyone, without poverty and social exclusion. With people who actively shape their own lives and take responsibility for each other and their environment. The garden provides food: sustainably grown seasonal vegetables for the Rotterdam Food Bank. In addition, it is a place to meet and do something; a place to produce food and to develop talents. They are thinking of extending the project and grow more food gardens for food banks. In addition, the Foundation wants to be part of sustainable developments in the Rotterdam region. The garden is a green area with a park-like character in a district that is in full development, so it offers many possibilities as a unifying factor between business, non-profit organizations, local residents and nature lovers!
