Independent Arts and Crafts Professional Chris Ripken specializes in working in outdoor spaces. Many orders came from the Municipality of Rotterdam. Projects that have given streets and neighborhoods their own identity. Objects that have taken away the gloom, the grayness and the shadows and have given neighbourhoods colour, cheerfulness and their own story. He always works in cooperation with the residents, young and old. This is based on the conviction that if people are able to create a part of their own living environment, the environment will get more quality. Residents get to know each other differently, parents are proud of their children who participate, young people feel better because of their positive contribution, the new techniques they’ve learned and the earning of a small compensation.
